Waiting to Hear from Devin
It's hard waiting to hear from Devin at times like this. We know several things that make it less stressful. We know that although 5 soldiers were killed in Ramadi on Saturday, we saw his post early Sunday morning. We know there is always a communication lockdown coming out of the bases until all family members are notified, so he probably can't access the internet or telephone yet. We also know that he was doing 18 hour shifts for the past week or so and he needs to sleep when he is in the barracks, as much as we want him to contact us.
I just want to take this time to thank everyone for posting here, Devin appreciates hearing about everyone's daily lives and I appreciate all the support .
Stay Safe Devin, I love you.

I have to say, I agree with my mother in law on this one...It is certainly a stressful time for all of us. We all have a hard task being the ones waiting here at home. The hardest part is not knowing and feeling helpless to do anything for Dev. The one major thing that gets me through that feeling is knowing that by simply being here for him, we are doing a very important job. Our support will help to get him through. The communication lockdowns are always a hard pill for me to swallow, personally. While I understand the logic...I like to know Dev's ok. As I'm sure you all do. I also realize the shifts are long and he may be to exhausted to wait for the computer to boot up and take time. This considered, I have to say that I'm very proud of him. He has made an awefully good effort to reassure us all and keep us up to date when possible.
Devin...Sorry to talk about you like you wouldn't read it...But I want you to know that I am very proud of you. I know you make a great effort to keep us in the know. We appreciate that.
I personally, just appreciate being invited into your life. You are an inspiration to me always. You constantly push me to do my best. All I ask of you right now is that you take care of yourself and be safe. (Ok...I lied)Also, you MUST know that I love you! That's not optional! Take care sweetheart.
hunterHi Devin,
I just received this link from A. Eileen. I will try and get some pictures of the boys on this site. We are all very proud of you! Be safe.
Love,
