Hello!

Hi everybody!
I don't really have much to report, so I figure I'll just tell you about my average day.
I wake up mid-afternoon, and wander around for a hour or so, shaving and such. Then I do some stuff around the barracks, clean my area and get my gear ready for awhile. Then I try to find something to do until dinner. After dinner, I usually go to the gym, then get ready for my mission. I go out on the mission, and come back, then go to bed. Life is pretty monotonous here, believe it or not. Well, thats about it, so I guess I'll say goodbye.

A little late, but better than never. Hope everyone had a good one!

T-Day +1

Happy Turkey Day Everybody
I wanted to post yesterday, but you know how it goes, the internet stopped working. Our dinner yesterday wasn't too bad, but it's not the same. Just wanted to let everyone know how much I appreciate the support you've all been givin, it makes this a whole lot easier. On a tactically happy note, our area has quieted down a whole lot, and it looks like it'll stay that way for a while. Well, I don't really have much else to say, So I guess I'll close here.

Happy Thanksgiving

There's been some sporatic contact from Devin this week. Once again he's working long hours. He does check this site before he goes to bed looking for updates from all of you.

Tim, Brianna, Kyle and I will be eating with Grandma and Grandpa Grant, along with Aunt Laurie and Uncle Jim. Dannielle is excited about going home and spending the day with her mother and sisters. OK, let's be honest, she's happy to spend the day with her family but she's excited to see her nephew Brandon. As has been our routine, we'll be fixing another turkey dinner on Friday, Dannielle will be back home and Uncle Jonathan and Aunt Estelle will be coming. We will all be thinking of you Devin.

Dev's been in touch

For everyone who checks this blog to see when the last time Devin's been in contact, I'll just say he was able to connect with Dannielle late last night.

He's extremely busy, only managing about 4 hours of sleep each night. He's hurt his back some how although he doesn't know of a specific incident to cause it. The Army's idea of treating his back pain was to give him some advil.

Sherman seems to have forgotten he's too little to jump down out of the truck alone, yes indeed, he broke his leg.

Hi!

How's it going? I'm doing pretty good here. We've been running like madmen the last few days, but all in all, it alright. Umm, that's all I've really got to say, just wanted to let everyone know I'm alive and safe.

One more...

Dev, This was prior to the no doubt intersting voicemail we sent you. We all had a blast! Can't wait until you're here to share in the fun

finally....I posted some pics!

Hi Dev..these pics are from our trip to cousin Annie's 40th bday in July near DC. We had a blast and I thought since Annie posts here you would like to have a reference pic!! She's the one with the tiara..the other beauty is my cousin Patti. Enjoy!! love ya!

Hey There

So, I thought I'd stop by to say hello. I don't really have much to say, not much has been happening here. It's been almost cold here the last few nights, 40-50 degrees. I know it's not actually cold, but its the temperature change from day to night that makes it seem like its freezing. Well, that's really all I've got to say for now.

School Time!

Hey everybody,
Its that time again, the time of the year where I apply for college. I'm a little rusty this year, cause I took last year off from applying, but what can you do. Anyway, not much new here, so, keep up the good work, there's no i in team, motivational nonsense, mutter mutter, mumble grumble

Sure is nice to hear from Devin...

In the last week or so we've had a few phone calls and instant message "sessions" with Devin. He reassures me quite often that he's doing well and wants everyone to know that. He sounds great! I've been working on him for more pictures too ;) He's very much looking forward to being home with us all again and puting all our plans into action. To be honest, we spend a lot of time talking about just that...And mush that I won't subject you all to! I just wanted to let everyone know that he's doing well, though he misses you all.

Greetings

Hi, It's me again. pretty well bored out of my mind here, playing with linux in my spare time and just generally trying to kill time. But bored is good, so hooray for boring. I've been getting requests from the fellas for microwaveable soup things, like the campbells chunky bowls and soup at hand, so if you're felling compelled to send something, there ya go, though I promise we won't starve. Well, thats about what I've got for today, so Aufwiedersang and Goodnight.

The Ineveitable Return...

Hi Everybody, I'm back.
The internet has returned, and better than it has been. I just caught up on the posts (I'd like to thank my sponsors, Mr. Johnny Walker and Rolling Rock for bringing to you the pictures below.) We are working nights for the most part, but these things change left and right, so ya never know. The powers that be have asked that people with blogs enforce some security rules, so I'll just post them verbatim (ie cover my own ass):
1. Don't talk about mission schedules, troop strengths, troop movements or communtication security.
2. Don't dicuss missions.
3. Do not discuss casualties.
4.Use common sense. If you wouldn't tell an Iraqi, don't put it on the internet.
Sorry for that, but just wanted to make sure.
Anyway, I'm doing really well here, got plenty of drink mix(thank you cards are on the way) and plenty of ways to keep busy. I'm just about out of things to say, so I'll say good bye.
