I LOVE WEBCAM!

Do I really need to say anything else? Probably not, but I will say that I hadn't seen this in a while and BOY did it do my heart good!

HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!

Despite the fact that my WONDERFUL husband is halfway around the world (and many assume that I would be miserable right now), I honestly have come to appreciate him more and more over the course of our 5 1/2 years together which has come to a point of complete and utter Zen. This has occurred at what might seem like an ODD time, in the middle of a deployment, but we can do this. We're a team...AND A DAMN GOOD ONE! We have learned and grown together over the years, and through the experiences we've had...

This being said...I want to say to you, Devin (AND YES...I AM going to just put it out there! That's how I do it. LOL) ...I love you more than you can possibly know. I will spend my whole life doing just that, showing you my love. I have learned from you, with you and we have grown so much. I look forward to continuing our life together. I can't wait to see where this crazy journey takes us! Know that no matter what happens, I'm in it with all of my heart and soul. Thank you for the love, support, and the laughs.

Happy Valentine's Day To Everyone! I hope you all have something nice planned for you and your sweetie. Remember though, there are 364 remaining days for love...

Found something else to share...

I loaded pictures from my camera and found these...Thought maybe a close up of Dev's face would be nice?

These were taken on Jan. 10 Family Day in Fort Dix, NJ. Dev and I spent one more day together before he left for Iraq. We even took Huxley to the park on base. I know, I look a wreck...But at least we get to see Dev's face...I was happy to run into them.

1st Platoon Pic

Thought I'd share this with y'all. Devin still has little to report. Anxious to get to work and back home again. He misses everyone. This picture is of his platoon. I remembered looking at this one (which is the first I've seen this deployment) how much it's like "Where's Waldo?" See if you can spot him.

GROUNDHOG DAY

I know Groundhog Day is over...BUT I just have to weigh in on this ridiculous crap...

First of all, I know it's a tradition and that it is done because well, I guess people like it or whatever (not to mention the money it brings into Punxsutawney. And let's face it most places in PA that aren't say...Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, or big metropolitan areas would need a gimmick like that. So, I guess this is Punxsutawney's one day of the year. Whatever.

I know I'm gonna get a lot of "scientific guff" about the Vernal Equinox) but I also think assigning a date to the "First day of Spring is a bit arbitrary. If it's still snowing in your neck of the woods...SORRY GUYS, SPRING HASN'T ARRIVED! On the other hand, spring is also equated with new beginnings and life. SO....What, you may as at this juncture, is the DaNNieLLe definition of "spring".

To me, Spring starts the day I wake up or leave my door, and here birds singing...The first time I conciously notice it...Ya know? When you say to yourself, "Oh, well that's refreshing." That's spring. You can smell it in the air. The first time I take the dog out and think maybe we should go to the park and play catch. That's spring. It feels, in a way, like a new lease on life that we slowly give up as it gets colder. Then suddenly feel the freedom to let loose and enjoy life again.

That's just my 10 cents...
